Meet the Counselor
Mrs. Melynda Cochran
Hello everyone! My name is Melynda Cochran, and I am in my fourth year as a school counselor. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I was a paraprofessional here at Jackson Elementary! I graduated from Lancaster Bible College with a Masters of Education in Professional School Counseling in 2022.
Outside of school, my family and I are active throughout Lebanon County. From horse lessons, boy scouts, play/musicals, whatever else the kids decide to take on we are always on the go! When we can, my family loves going to the beach, Disney and traveling.
In school, students will see me in their classrooms once a month when I will conduct Character Trait lessons or for career lessons. Our Character Trait lessons come from our monthly Positive Behavior Character Trait (for PBIS).
Students can also see me for individual counseling or group counseling lessons. If you would like your child to see me for a check-in or to join a group, please reach out to me and I would be happy to meet with your child.
